A Look Inside the Process

If you think you'd like to work together,
the first step is to set up a complimentary initial consultation, to ensure that we are a good fit. This can be done via phone, Skype, or email (or in person if you're local to Atlanta!), whichever you are the most comfortable with. We will talk about your project, your vision, your ideas, timeline, and budget to get an overall feel for the outcome you would like to receive.

When you decide to hire me,
I will send you a client questionnaire with several questions relating to your vision for your project. Your answers will help clarify your personal vision and inspiration for your brand direction. Then we’ll create a mood board together, using a platform like Pinterest. We’ll both gather images that evoke the feeling you want to convey in your branding.

Once that step is complete,
I will get to work! I’ll come back to you within our agreed upon timeline with designs and we will discuss your feedback. I’ll work on the revisions and send you any changes to review. We’ll continue with this process until we’ve got a design you adore.

Throughout the design process,
the line of communication between us remains open and honest. You are encouraged to tell me any change of heart you may have in the middle of the process, and be as brutally honest as possible. I will be your friend and partner from the very beginning to the very end, and I want to see you succeed just as much as you do.

A NOTE ABOUT OUR DESIGN FOOTPRINTS
I value doing my part to help lessen the environmental impact on our world. That’s why I’m committed to maintaining sustainable, eco-friendly design and business practices.
What’s eco-friendly design?
It starts with being intentional. Before I start on a project, I picture where the project will end. Then, I picture its life in reverse, and what steps it goes through along the way, be it shipping, manufacturing, printing, etc., and I do my best to ensure that those processes are sustainable. I work with printers and vendors who also adopt green practices, and whenever possible, use 100% recycled paper and soy-based ink when printing. When designing print pieces, I think about how I can create something that the recipient wants to hang on their wall versus throw in the trash. I always educate my clients on how they can also do their part to be more sustainable in the design process. I believe it’s important to protect this beautiful world we live in!
